Say It, Survivor Workshop
As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, if your story remains untold because you are mired in shame it will play out in your life over and over again. It can be told in the form of depression, addiction, eating disorders, low self-esteem, toxic relationships, perfectionism and other self-destructive behaviors. In order to truly heal from the trauma of sexual abuse, you need to tell your story on your terms.
This isn't about telling your story publicly. That's not right for everyone. You don’t need to write a blog, or a book, or an article- you just need to get it out. You need to process it. You need to write it down. You need to share it in a safe, supportive environment.
Let us help you do that. We are committed to using our experience as survivors and writers to facilitate other women telling their stories to empower and heal themselves.
It’s time to turn your faces to the sun, friends. It’s time to tell your stories.
This Say It, Survivor event is a full day workshop that combines lectures, discussion groups and writing prompts to help survivors put their stories into words, and onto paper. You do not need writing experience to participate- this workshop focuses on the process of telling your story, not the resulting product.
Please note that this particular workshop is for adult female survivors of child sexual abuse only. Coffee and tea provided.
Tickets MUST be reserved in advance so workshop facilitators can prepare for group size. No walk-ins.
If cost is an issue for you, please contact us at email@example.com - there are scholarship spots available at every event.
